A meeting with the World Health Organisation (WHO) General Director

8 May 2022

Зустріч з генеральним директором ВООЗ
Today on the way to a hospital in the West of Ukraine I met Dr Tedros Adhamon Ghebreyesus, the WHO General Director, who visited Ukraine in the framework of the international humanitarian life saving mission!

I have noticed before that our military medical evacuation vehicle attracted attention from the first days of the russian invasion. But today the Head of a well-known organisation approached our Ambulance. The General Director of the organization, the activity and the authority of which will undoubtedly play the role in punishing the aggressor in such a critical field like medicine.

I was very much impressed with the admiration, compassion, care and sincerity of Dr Tedros Adhamon Ghebreyesus and his colleagues while they were looking at, commenting on, enquiring more in detail about the stories in the photos in my cell phone. I explained briefly, though comprehensively, the events that happened in the North part of Ukraine since  February 24, 2022. The activity of the Nodus Emergency Care Stabilizing Unit , our medevacs activity and work in the time of the russian invasion served as an example.

The foreign guests  were agitated and deeply shocked.
At the end of our talk Dr Tedros Adhamon Ghebreyesus , while treating me and my colleagues with some chocolate, said :"Here is my business card with my personal telephone number. Write to me about your further activity . Next time I will come to your clinic. This is my gift to you. Thank you for your work and mission!"

The visit of the WHO General Director to Ukraine also proves that the evil will be punished and Ukraine will win, much like the Good in the whole land!

Ukraine is Unbroken, Invincible, Eternal!
